UFC 332: Silva vs Wang

UFC 332: Silva vs Wang is an upcoming UFC event on October 3, 2026 in Salt Lake City, UT, USA, headlined by Natalia Silva vs Cong Wang. Check the 14-fight card, win probabilities, broadcast options, and venue details below.

A vacant flyweight title leads UFC 332

UFC 332 will crown a new women's flyweight champion when Natalia Silva faces Cong Wang over five rounds on 3 October 2026 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The belt is vacant, making this an undisputed championship fight rather than an interim contest.

Valentina Shevchenko's withdrawal changed the main event: UFC announced on 5 September that she had told the promotion she would be unable to compete for at least a year. No. 1 contender Silva now meets No. 8 Wang, while the bantamweight co-main pairs ninth-ranked Deiveson Figueiredo with eleventh-ranked Payton Talbott. There is a championship opportunity at the top and a potential top-ten breakthrough immediately beneath it.

Silva vs Wang: movement against pressure

Silva brings the stronger UFC résumé and a 14-fight winning streak. The 29-year-old is 20-5-1 overall and 8-0 inside the Octagon, with her last three victories coming by unanimous decision against Jessica Andrade on 7 September 2024, Alexa Grasso on 10 May 2025 and Rose Namajunas on 24 January 2026. Beating three former champions consecutively gives her favouritism a substantial foundation.

Wang is 10-1 and has won four straight fights. Her last three were unanimous decisions over Ariane da Silva on 7 June 2025, Eduarda Moura on 7 February 2026 and Tracy Cortez on 11 July 2026. At 34, the former world sanda champion and world boxing silver medallist has considerably more striking experience than her relatively short MMA record suggests.

My tactical lean is towards Silva winning at kicking range, then leaving before Wang can extend the exchanges. Silva's taekwondo background suits that approach, while Wang's damaging calf kicks against Cortez offer an obvious way to restrict her movement. I would expect Wang to attack the lead leg and body before trying to keep Silva in punching range, rather than simply follow her around the fence.

Championship weight is another checkpoint for Wang. She weighed 127.5lb before facing Moura in February, when both fighters exceeded the non-title flyweight limit. Eligibility to win this belt requires making 125lb or less, without the one-pound allowance available in non-title bouts. That previous miss deserves attention without being treated as evidence that she will miss again.

Figueiredo vs Talbott: a top-ten test

Talbott can strengthen his claim to a top-ten place by beating another former champion. The 28-year-old is 11-1 after rebuilding from a unanimous-decision loss to Raoni Barcelos on 18 January 2025 with unanimous-decision wins over Felipe Lima on 28 June and Henry Cejudo on 6 December. This is his first appearance of 2026, not a quick turnaround from the Cejudo breakthrough.

Figueiredo, 38, is 25-7-1 and needs to stop a two-fight slide. A split-decision victory over Montel Jackson on 11 October 2025 was followed by a unanimous-decision defeat to Umar Nurmagomedov on 24 January 2026. Song Yadong then submitted him with a second-round guillotine on 30 May, catching him as he attempted a takedown.

Talbott's improvement against Cejudo matters more than the famous name on his record. After spending long stretches underneath Barcelos, he was initiating and controlling wrestling exchanges against Cejudo. My read is that his jab and sustained pressure can make Figueiredo work at an uncomfortable pace, but he should resist turning every successful combination into a reckless pursuit of the finish.

Soldic's debut, Gautier's reach and McGee's farewell

Roberto Soldic's UFC debut against Khaos Williams is the strongest reason to look beyond the headline pairings. Soldic arrives at 21-4 after holding KSW titles at welterweight and middleweight, including a knockout victory over Dricus du Plessis during their two-fight series. For me, the question is whether he can establish his offence against Williams without making his debut a contest of who can absorb the bigger punch.

Ateba Gautier's six-inch reach advantage over Roman Kopylov makes their middleweight bout more than a straightforward power contest. Gautier has an 81-inch reach and nine knockout wins in an 11-1 career; Kopylov has a 75-inch reach and 12 knockout victories of his own. Gautier's most convincing performance would be one in which he uses that length patiently rather than trying to finish every exchange.

Court McGee's welterweight fight against Eric Nolan carries different stakes: UFC has announced it as his final Octagon appearance. McGee fights out of Orem, Utah, giving this Salt Lake City booking the significance of a home-state farewell rather than simply another assignment on the preliminary card.

Betting angle: the co-main deserves more caution

The listed probabilities make Silva vs Wang considerably more competitive than the co-main. Silva's 64.5% against Wang's 35.5% converts to fair decimal prices of approximately 1.55 and 2.82, while Talbott's 82.9% against Figueiredo's 17.1% equates to approximately 1.21 and 5.85. Those are mathematical equivalents of the probabilities, not live bookmaker quotes or prices for a particular winning method.

I see more reason to question the width of Talbott's advantage than Silva's. Figueiredo has nine professional submission victories, and the Barcelos defeat showed that sustained wrestling can disrupt Talbott's preferred fight. Talbott's subsequent improvement still makes him my selection, but an 82.9% expectation leaves little room for a damaging counter or a prolonged spell underneath the former champion.

18+ where legal. Set a spending limit and never chase losses.

Predictions: Silva and Talbott by decision

My main-event pick is Natalia Silva by decision. Her movement and success against established contenders make her the more convincing choice to win rounds consistently. The caution is her narrow victory over Namajunas, scored 29-28 on all three cards: I expect a competitive title fight, with Silva's cleaner work at distance making the difference rather than an overwhelming finish.

My co-main pick is Payton Talbott by decision. I expect him to keep Figueiredo defending for longer stretches and to avoid becoming trapped underneath him. Over three rounds, I favour Talbott's pace and combination work, provided he treats Figueiredo's counters and submission opportunities as live threats rather than assuming the veteran will fade.
